Steps – cropped

A tighter crop of the previous version of this shot, as suggested by Adrian.  I like this crop as it focuses on the pattern of lines made by the railings.  The vertical lines and the way the railings zig-zag across the frame are what motivated the shot in the first place, and the cropped version makes the most of these features.

    Graham, I’m really glad that this idea worked out! I like this version better. But you know me, always cropping tighter than tight and rotating too – I can see a 90 degrees clockwise rotation here – but that’s me! Good stuff! Adrian

      Hi Adrian, I thought you might like it! To be honest I’m not convinced by the idea of rotating this shot – at least with the current crop. I think I would need to lose the top 40% or so of the current shot first.
