it has an almost flowing feel to it, I can sense it rippling up and down.

Graham, my friend, you are moving in photographic directions that I like very much, very much indeed – wonderfully calming, simple shot, just beautiful. What about rotating 90 degrees clockwise, to an “upright letterbox”??? Adrian

Thanks for the endorsement Adrian! At the moment I’m fascinated by the abstract images from landscape scenes – especially the relationship / contrast when you juxtapose two colours or tones. It does lead me to post several shots or treatments of the same scene. Thinking about stripping some of these down to very high contrast black & white to emphasise the patterns more.

I think rotating 90 deg would work for this image. I have been thinking about putting three versions of the image together in this format to make a tryptich.

Hi Graham! Well, for me at least, posting more than one version of your shots is absolutely fine, and particularly so if you include processing details. Adrian

Looks like soft corduroy material. Very nice.

Thank you – you are right that it looks somewhat like corduroy.
