The town in the river #1

03/02/2012

It’s cold today, but bright and clear.  I walked along the river bank for an hour or so and took several photographs of the town reflected in the river.  Pictures of buildings in a parallel universe?  Fanciful nonsense but – whatever, I like the shots.  I may post a few of these.  Incidentally, this is straight from the camera, not cropped or processed in any way – I never post a shot without some editing.  Maybe I’m not well….

Absolutely wonderful and beautiful picture, Graham, wonderful colours! This reminds me very powerfully of something from the Impressionists’ era >>> and I could >>>certainly live with this on my living room wall!

In fact I like it so much I’m going to reblog it! Adrian

Reblogged this on FATman Photos and commented:
Here is another photographer whose work I admire – Graham – and I just love this picture to bits! I’m a great fan of the Impressionists – Manet, Degas, Monet, van Gogh and so on – and this very powerfully reminds me of something from that era – I could certainly live with this hanging on the wall!
While I think of it >>> reblogging is a rather uncertain procedure because in some cases you can click onto the link in my Recent Posts list and be taken straight to the image – while in other cases you are taken to another link, which THEN takes you to the image, which is a slower and not quite so good procedure >>> what will happen here I don’t know!
But in any case – ENJOY!!! FATman
